Dr. Rosenstiel grew up in Mobile, Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (1984). She graduated from the UAB School of Optometry in 1988 with honors in the contact lens field.

Dr. Rosenstiel is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and has a secondary faculty appointment in the School of Optometry at the University of Alabama. She has been a member of the faculty since 1982 and assists in the resident teaching program. Dr. Rosenstiel provides primary eyecare and contact lens fittings. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and is a co-investigator for the Collaborative Longitudinal Evaluation of Keratoconus Study.
