General Clinic Information
We are located on the 1st floor of The Kirklin Clinic. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Please call (205) 326-9423 with any questions or concerns.

Appointments
To schedule an appointment, please call (205) 801-7802 or 1-800-333-6543 (if outside of the Birmingham area). In the event that you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please call either of the numbers listed above. If possible, we appreciate your cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that if you have not arrived by your scheduled appointment time, we may need to reschedule your appointment for another date and time.

After Hours and Emergencies
If you need to reach your physician after hours, please call UAB Paging at (205) 934-3411. If this is a true medical emergency, please dial 911 for immediate assistance.

What to Bring with You
When you come to your appointment, please bring your insurance card, a list of any prescription or over the counter medications that you are currently taking (including dosage amount), and any X-rays, labs, or other medical information that has not been previously sent to our office. You may have your medical information faxed to us prior to your appointment time at (205) 801-8356. Please note your appointment date and time on the fax cover sheet.

Payment Information
Some insurance providers may require a referral or pre-certification before seeing a specialist of this nature. Please be sure to bring a copy of this referral or pre-certification with you for insurance/billing purposes. If you are unsure of what your insurance company requires, please contact them in advance of your appointment and they will be happy to answer any of your questions. Your co-pay is expected at the time of your visit; however, our financial counselors are available to discuss any problems or special circumstances. Our financial counselors may be reached Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at (205) 801-9910.

Labs/Test Results
Please allow 2-3 weeks for the results of any labs performed in our clinic to be completely processed. If you have not been contacted within this time frame, please call (205) 326-9423 to obtain your results. Please be aware that any emergent abnormal lab or test values will be relayed to you by your physician as soon as the results are obtained.

Prescriptions
To obtain a refill for any medications prescribed by this clinic, please call (205) 326-9423, Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m.-12 p.m.

Patients with limitations
Patients visiting The Kirklin Clinic may take advantage of convenient parking in the deck adjacent to the Clinic. Located at 2100 6th Avenue South, the parking deck is connected to the second floor of The Kirklin Clinic by a weatherproof sky bridge. High top van access is restricted to the first floor of the clinic parking deck. Therefore, patients arriving in high top vans and requiring wheelchair assistance should be dropped off at the front door of the clinic before the driver parks the vehicle. Valet parking is available on Level 2 of the deck; wheelchairs and additional assistance are located here as well.
