We are located on the 1st floor of The Kirklin Clinic. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Please call (205) 996-ORAL with any questions or concerns.
Appointments
To schedule an appointment, please call (205) 801-7703 or 1-800-333-6543 (if outside of the Birmingham area). In the event that you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please call either of the numbers listed above. If possible, we appreciate your cancellation at least 24 hours in advance.
After Hours and Emergencies
If you need to reach a physician after hours, please call UAB Paging at (205) 934-3411 and ask them to page the Oral Surgeon on call. If this is a true medical emergency, please dial 911 for immediate assistance.
What to Bring with You
When you come to your appointment, please bring your insurance card(s) (dental and medical), a list of any prescription or over the counter medications that you are currently taking, any X-rays, films, or other medical information that may be helpful for your visit with us, and completed forms that were sent to you prior to your appointment.
Payment Information
Some insurance providers may require a referral or pre-certification before seeing a specialist of this nature. Please be sure to bring a copy of this referral or pre-certification with you for insurance/billing purposes. If you are unsure of what your insurance company requires, please contact them in advance of your appointment and they will be happy to answer any of your questions. Your co-pay is expected at the time of your visit; however, our financial counselors are available to discuss any problems or special circumstances. Our financial counselors may be reached Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at (205) 801-9910.
Prescriptions
To obtain a refill for any medications prescribed by this clinic, please call (205) 801-7705.
Special Information
Due to the complex nature of many of our cases, you may experience some delays while waiting in our clinic. We apologize for this inconvenience, and our front desk staff gladly welcomes any questions or concerns that you may have during your visit with us.
Patients with limitations
Patients visiting The Kirklin Clinic may take advantage of convenient parking in the deck adjacent to the Clinic. Located at 2100 6th Avenue South, the parking deck is connected to the second floor of The Kirklin Clinic by a weatherproof sky bridge. High top van access is restricted to the first floor of the clinic parking deck. Therefore, patients arriving in high top vans and requiring wheelchair assistance should be dropped off at the front door of the clinic before the driver parks the vehicle. Valet parking is available on Level 2 of the deck; wheelchairs and additional assistance are located here as well.
