The UAB Health Center Huntsville is the northern Alabama anchor of the "UAB Health System," and is the largest and only academic multi-specialty facility in this part of the state.

The UAB Health Center offers:

• 30 faculty physicians providing care in 5 specialties (as listed below)
  • Family Practice
  • Internal Medicine
  • Pediatrics
  • OB/Gyn
  • Psychiatry
• Physicians who accept all types of insurance including Medicare, Medicaid and self pay
• Family Practice resident physicians who care for patients of all ages (including children)
• (Resident physicians are physicians receiving a 3 year program of specialty training in Family Medicine)
• Research programs, assessment, education and treatment for chronic illnesses such as Diabetes, Hypertension and Asthma
• Continuity of care (Physicians are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year round and available at the hospital)
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy, OB ultrasound, and other outpatient procedures
• In-house laboratory
• On-site pharmacy
• On-site durable medical equipment
• On-going Quality Assurance research

Hours of operation: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Physicians on call 24 hours a day.
