Allergies affect nearly every part of the body. At UAB, otolaryngology physicians focus on treating allergies of the ears, nose, and throat (ENT). And specialists in pulmonary medicine can determine the effect of allergies and asthma on the respiratory system while dermatologists offer care and treatment for skin allergies.
The UAB Comprehensive Asthma Program works with adults who have asthma and other allergic breathing problems
to help them develop normal lifestyles. Physicians, nurses, and educators provide a comprehensive and individual treatment program, as chances for overcoming asthma are greatly increased when patients understand their condition and learn self-management skills.

Comprehensive clinical treatment of all respiratory, pulmonary vascular, and allergic disorders is provided by the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine. The
Allergy Clinic is found on the fourth floor of The Kirklin Clinic, pictured left.
