Each year more than 5,000 teenagers are seen by a team of health professionals (physicians, nurses, nutritionalists, psychologists, social workers) specially trained to handle their unique problems. Specialty clinics exist for teenage parents and their infants, contraceptive counseling, adolescents in custody, eating disorders, teens with attention-deficit disorders, and obese adolescents. Major research interests include sports medicine and sexually transmitted diseases.
