The UAB Heart Center collaborates heart-related activities between the departments of medicine, surgery and pediatrics. Goals of the Heart Center are:

to improve the efficiency of treatment for patients with cardiovascular related illnesses

to provide community education in order to prevent cardiovascular diseases

to participate in screenings to identify those at risk of heart diseases

to coordinate unified fund-raising activities.
