Seven programs make U.S. News & World Report’s top 50

U.S. News & World Report has ranked UAB Hospital among “America’s Best Hospitals” for the 15th consecutive year. The fact that UAB has continually been included in this prestigious list underscores the hospital’s dedication to providing exceptional patient care.

Seven UAB specialty programs are listed among the nation’s top 50. UAB is one of only 3 percent of U.S. hospitals included on the list, and the only hospital in Alabama to be ranked.

Five UAB specialties ranked among the top 25 in the nation. Highlights include: rheumatology ranked sixth nationally for an unprecedented 15th consecutive year; heart and heart surgery appeared on the list for the 11th consecutive year, ranking 14th; gynecology also ranked 14th—and kidney disease and cancer both also received high marks.
