Adrienne Gaylor of Homewood was driving in a heavy rainstorm to have dinner with her parents. Her car hydroplaned across four lanes of traffic and wrapped around a tree. After being pulled from her car, Adrienne was rushed to UAB Hospital, where a 25-member team worked for months not only to save her life, but also to enable her to get back to all of her activities
"They never gave up hope. They were so positive. Their smiles, their words were encouraging. We talked; we laughed. They talked about the future. They were never negative about anything," Adrienne says.
