When: The second Monday of the month (except December) at 5:45 p.m.
Where: Conference Room E of the West Pavilion Conference Center at UAB Hospital.
Who: The Support Group is open to all pre/post transplant recipients (including kidney transplant recipients), family members, friends and those interested in organ transplantation.
The purpose of this Support Group is to help pre/post transplant patients through the transplant journey by networking with people who have been through the process. We answer questions that only other transplant recipients can answer. We do not give medical advice.
In addition, our group promotes donor awareness at every opportunity - from standing in the grocery line talking about organ donation to participating in the U.S. Transplant Games. Many associates volunteer with numerous organizations such as the Alabama Organ Center, the Bridges Foundation, the Alabama Kidney Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation, etc.

UAB Heart, Lung and Liver Transplant Support Group Monthly Dinner
This informal dinner is held at an area restaurant (typically down Highway 280 or on the eastern side of town around the new Pinnacle shopping center just off I-459 at Highway 11 in Trussville).
