Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is a method of practical learning which blends theological and pastoral experience into the classroom of real-life application. In this course work, the primary syllabus is the living human document, where students daily minister to the spiritual needs of patients and families.
CPE at UAB Hospital offers basic and advanced training by combining the strengths and skills of a large group of professionals. It is designed to help ministers and seminary students better train for their roles as pastors, chaplain, or counselors.
