We are located on the 3rd floor of The Kirklin Clinic. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Please call (205) 975-2310 with any questions or concerns.

Appointments
To schedule an appointment, please call (205) 975-2310 or 1-800-333-6543. In the event that you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please call either of the numbers listed above. If possible, we appreciate your cancellation at least 24 hours in advance.

After Hours and Emergencies
If you need to reach your physician after hours, please call (205) 934-3411 and ask for the Orthopedic Surgeon on call. If this is a true medical emergency, please dial 911 for immediate assistance.

What to Bring with You
When you come to your appointment, please bring your insurance card and any X-rays, lab results, or other medical information that your referring physician has not already sent to our clinic. If you have had previous orthopedic procedures related to your current area of concern, please bring operative notes or any other relevant data from your surgeon(s).

Special Instructions
If you are scheduled for X-rays, please check-in at the Orthopaedic Clinic front desk 1 hour prior to your clinic appointment time. At this time, you will pick up your request form to take with you to the Radiology Clinic.

Payment Information
Some insurance providers may require a referral or a preauthorization before seeing a specialist of this nature. Please be sure to bring a copy of this referral or preauthorization with you for insurance/billing purposes. If you are unsure of what your insurance company requires, please contact them in advance of your appointment and they will be happy to answer any of your questions. Your co-pay is expected at the time of your visit; however, our financial counselors are available to discuss any problems or special circumstances. Our financial counselors may be reached Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at (205) 801-9910.

Labs/Test Results
Please call (205) 975-2663 to receive the results from any labs or tests performed in this clinic. Although it may take up to 2 weeks to receive the results of some specific tests that may be ordered, please be aware that any emergent or abnormal lab or test values will be relayed to you by your physician as soon as they are obtained.

Prescriptions
To obtain a refill for any medications prescribed in this clinic, please call (205) 975-2663.

Patients with Limitations
Patients visiting The Kirklin Clinic may take advantage of convenient parking in the deck adjacent to the Clinic. Located at 2100 6th Avenue South, the parking deck is connected to the second floor of The Kirklin Clinic by a weatherproof sky bridge. High top van access is restricted to the first floor of the clinic parking deck. Therefore, patients arriving in high top vans and requiring wheelchair assistance should be dropped off at the front door of the clinic before the driver parks the vehicle. Valet parking is available on Level 2 of the deck; wheelchairs and additional assistance are located here as well.
