Family Clinic
The Alabama Ryan White Title IV program, also known as the Family Clinic, is part of the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s (UAB’s) Department of Pediatrics and is affiliated with the Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Family Clinic provides services to all of the state of Alabama except Mobile and Baldwin counties.
Family Clinic provides family-centered, culturally competent care to families infected and affected by HIV. We work proactively with collaborating agencies in Alabama to identify gaps in services for women, children, youth and families. We have had tremendous growth in the number of patients we serve as well as the number of services we provide since our original funding in 1989. We have established relationships with service organizations and providers who can help fill in the gaps in care that our patients need.
