Ranked among the top programs in the nation for the 18th consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report, UAB's rheumatology program offers a number of treatment options for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, fibromyalgia, gout, osteoporosis, and soft tissue sports injuries. Services include bone and joint imaging, arthroscopy, bone mineral density evaluation and immunosuppressive therapy.

UAB's nationally ranked rheumatology program is located on the third floor of The Kirklin Clinic, and has as one of its greatest advantages the presence of general practitioners and specialists from all fields. This unique mix of disciplines makes it easy for physicians to collaborate on diagnoses and treatments.
