The Kirklin Clinic at UAB

The UAB Prostate Center is located in The Kirklin Clinic, a unique facility designed to make your visits as simple and easy as possible. Under one roof, you'll find more than 700 specialists, labs, outpatient treatment and testing areas, patient escorts, and a pharmacy. Even parking is convenient with a covered deck connected to the clinic.

To learn more about prostate health and the comprehensive, expert care available at UAB, complete and mail the information below. The center will send you an information packet to help answer your questions and show you the important benefits of annual screenings. If you have any questions concerning prostate health, call Sanford Jeames, the center's patient education coordinator, at (205) 975-9819 or Doreen Perkins, C.R.N.P., the center's research coordinator, at (205) 934-1464. The Kirklin Clinic is located on the UAB campus at 2000 6th Ave. South. It is easily accessible from Birmingham's major highways. Validated parking is available in The Kirklin Clinic's covered deck.

From I-65 North (from Montgomery):

Exit onto 8th Ave. South (Exit 259), which is also called University Blvd. Continue straight for nine blocks, then turn left on Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. (21st Street). Turn right on 6th Ave. South. The Kirklin Clinic parking deck entrance will be on your left.

From I-20/59 and I-65 South (from Tuscaloosa, Atlanta, or Huntsville):

Exit I-20/59 onto I-65 south. Exit I-65 at 259B, and turn left on 4th Ave. South. Proceed straight for 10 blocks, then turn right on 22nd St. Go two blocks, turning right on 6th Avenue South. The Kirklin Clinic parking deck entrance will be on your right, before you reach Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. (21st Street).

From Highway 31 North and South and Highway 280:

From Highway 31 north or south, exit right onto University Blvd., which is also called 8th Ave. South. Turn right on Richard Arrington Jr. Bld. (21st Street), then right on 6th Ave. South. The Kirklin Clinic parking deck entrance will be on your left. From Highway 280, merge onto Highway 31 north and follow the directions listed above.
