Taking personal responsibility for identifying, resolving, and preventing drug-related problems.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The UAB Hospital Pharmacy Program will set the national standard for pharmaceutical care delivery. This will be accomplished by taking personal responsibility for the drug therapy needs of our patients and focusing on achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes. We will maintain a responsive and accurate medication dispensing system, provide education for all customers on the safe, effective and economical use of drugs, train new practitioners in advanced pharmacy practice, and foster research in medication use systems and appropriate therapeutics.
