While most dental services at UAB are offered through the School of Dentistry, the UAB Health System includes specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery. These specialists are skilled in rehabilitating the face and mouth following surgery or injury due to trauma or cancer. They can also repair the effects of congenital abnormalities.

The School of Dentistry Clinic is located at 1917 7th Ave South in room 456.
UAB Dental Group
The UAB Dental Group is made up of the same UAB dental faculty members who are responsible for the education and training of UAB dentists and residents. All major specialties of dentistry are represented at the UAB Dental Group, which gives patients continuity of care. These specialties include general dental needs, root canals, hospital dentistry, orthodontics, children's dentistry, gum surgery, implant placement, advanced restorative dentistry, dentures, and implant reconstructions.
