Comprehensive clinical services for digestive, liver, intestinal and pancreas disorders, including esophageal disease, ulcers, pancreatitis, Crohn’s Disease, ulcerative colitis, hepatitis, and cirrhosis, are provided by the
Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology within the Department of Medicine.
Services offered include diagnostic and therapeutic techniques of the upper and lower GI tract, including
- ERCP
- sphincterotomy
- removal of gallstones in the bile duct
- endoscopic removal of polyps
- esophageal stenting for carcinoma
- schlerotherapy of esophageal varices
- gastric and pancreatic secretion studies
- evaluation of patients for liver transplants
- consultation on liver and GI problems
