UAB's Respiratory program ranked 21st in U.S.News' "America's Best Hospitals".

Comprehensive clinical treatment of all respiratory, pulmonary vascular, and allergic disorders is provided by the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Medicine. The Division also directs the Hohenberg Critical Care Unit, UAB's Medical Intensive Care Unit, and provides consultation services for all intensive care units at UAB.

The UAB Pulmonary Program has been ranked one of the best in the country in U.S. News & World Report.

Pulmonary Clinic is located on the fourth floor of The Kirklin Clinic, pictured at right. One of the greatest advantages that Kirklin Clinic has is the presence of general practitioners and specialists from all fields. This unique mix of disciplines makes it easy for physicians to collaborate on diagnoses and treatments.

The UAB Lung Health Center directs several projects devoted to the prevention of lung diseases.

The UAB Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy Clinic provides comprehensive, state of the art clinical and surgical care to patients with pulmonary vascular disease due to chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH).
