Pain Treatment Center

The Pain Treatment Center treats all chronic pain problems resulting from disease, injury or trauma, and surgery. Medical and psychological treatments are provided by a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, psychologists, therapists, and rehabilitation specialists.
The center's mission is to reduce patients' suffering and improve daily funcionality. The Pain Treatment Center encourages early referral of patients with intractable cancer pain. New patients for procedures are usually seen the week of referral.

Chronic pain problems treated include:

  • headaches

  • low back pain

  • cancer pain

  • complicated arthritis

  • spinal cord pain

  • phantom pain

  • post-herpetic neuralgia

  • causalgia

  • pancreatitis

Medical and psychological treatments include:
  • medication

  • acupuncture

  • hypnotherapy

  • nerve-blocking techniques

  • physical and psychotherapy

  • behavior modification

  • biofeedback
