UAB is making general health care, also known as primary care, more convenient than ever, with physicians at The Kirklin Clinic and UAB Health Centers located in your neighborhood. General health services encompass:
- family medicine which is the care for infants, children, and adults
- internal medicine which involves treatment of diseases in adults
- geriatric medicine involves the care of older patients
The Kirklin Clinic, pictured at right, has as one of its greatest advantages the presence of general practitioners and specialists from all fields. This unique mix of disciplines makes it easy for physicians to collaborate on diagnoses and treatments.
Primary Care Clinics are located in the second and fourth floors of The Kirklin Clinic and also at UAB Health Centers. Facilities in Huntsville, Montgomery, Selma and Tuscaloosa are also providers of primary care.
