Medical West is contracted with many insurance companies and PPO plans, making healthcare affordable to a large portion of the Birmingham metro area. In order to best understand your insurance benefits, we recommend that you first contact your insurance carrier to verify that we are a participating provider and then ask the level of benefits for a particular service.
The hospital bills for services rendered at Medical West, it's primary care physician Health Centers, Hospice, Rehabilitation Unit, Psychiatric Unit and Skilled Nursing Facility.
You can call our Registration area with insurance information when you have scheduled a hospital service at (205) 481-7168 or (205) 481-7820. For services at our primary care physician Health Centers, you can call the Health Center (clinic) directly.
After your insurance has processed payment, you will be billed the amount determined by your insurance carrier to be your portion of the bill.
Services rendered by physicians will be billed separately from the hospital bill. For your convenience, we accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover cards. Of course, you can also pay by mail. Be sure to use the remit coupon in your bill to assure that your payment goes to the correct address and is credited to the account that you wish.
