GEF Grant Applications Available June 26, 2006
University of Alabama Health Services Foundation (UAHSF) General Endowment Fund (GEF) grant applications will be available June 26, 2006 and are due August 28, 2006. Application packets will be available at www.uab.edu/uasom/hsfgef through the Office of the Dean of the School of Medicine (SOM), and the offices of each Academic Health Center dean, effective June 26, 2006. The same form is used for the four categories:
• Patient-oriented Research
• Laboratory Research
• Clinical Care Initiatives
• Medical Education Initiatives
Deadlines 2006-2007
June 26, 2006 — Application packets to deans for distribution
August 28, 2006 — Applications due to SOM Dean, FOT 1203 (4 PM)
November 14, 2006 — GEF Review Group recommendations complete
December 2006 — GEF Committee meeting
February 1, 2007 — UAHSF Board decision announced
March 1, 2007 — Funding available for use by awardees
