A ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of The Kirklin Clinic® Patient Resource Library will be held on Wednesday, November 1, from 11 am to 12 pm.
TKC Chief of Staff Nancy E. Dunlap, MD, PhD, and Interim Director of UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center Edward E. Partridge, MD, will speak at the ceremony.
The 1000-square-foot interdisciplinary facility, located near the clinic’s second-floor parking deck crosswalk, will serve patients seeking information on numerous conditions and diseases.
Library patrons will have access to computers with Internet connections, more than 300 books, tapes, and DVDs that can be checked out, and more than 200 free brochures and pamphlets. A librarian will be available.
