Professor and Director, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Peter D. Waite, MPH, DDS, MD, announces the appointment of Somsak Sittitavornwong, DDS, MS, as assistant professor.
Earning his dental surgery degree from Mahidol University, School of Dentistry, Bangkok, Thailand, Dr. Sittitavornwong completed his training residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and UAB, where he also earned his master’s degree. He has been involved in many research projects at UAB Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, and Engineering. Dr. Sittitavornwong enjoys hiking and traveling.
His clinical interests include dental implants, pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial pathology, trauma, and reconstruction.
