Stuart J. Frank, MD, director of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, recently was named the second holder of the endowed Ruth Lawson Hanson Chair of Medicine in Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Frank is professor in the departments of Medicine, Cell Biology, and Physiology & Biophysics.
The previous holder of the Hanson Chair was Jeffrey E. Kudlow, MD, former director of the Division of Endo-crinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
Dr. Frank is an internationally known endocrinologist and distinguished leader in the field of growth hormone biology. He is the author of numerous peer reviewed scientific articles and is on the editorial board of Molecular Endocrinology. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Massachusetts Medical Society, the Endocrine Society, the American Federation for Medical Research, the Southern Society of Clinical Investigation, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
