Redwine Joins Geriatric Psychiatry

Heman E. Drummond Professor and Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology Chair James H. Meador-Woodruff, MD, announces the appoint- ment of M. Bates Redwine, MD, as assistant professor of psychiatry in the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry.

A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Redwine completed an internship and psychiatry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, and a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Emory University. He joins UAB after 8 years in private practice at the Frank Kay Clinic in Birmingham.

Dr. Redwine’s clinical interests include late-life depression, dementias, and electroconvulsive therapy. He is accepting outpatients and can be contacted at 205.934.6054 or via e-mail at bredwine@uabmc.edu.
