If your company has a drug free workplace policy and requires post accident drug screens UAB now has a process set up to meet this need. We have trained certified collectors on call 24/7. You must contact our emergency room charge nurse for UAB at 205-996-4201 or UAB Highlands at 205-930-7050 to make this request.
Important points to remember:
- Make your request as soon as possible to decrease wait time for on call collector to arrive.
- If your employee is unable to consent a PADT can not be collected.
- You must be prepared to provide collectors with contact, authorization and billing information.
- The Workplace will be reporting the results and providing MRO service for those collections using our chain of custody forms and can be reached at 205-930-5300.
- Our collectors will be happy to use your chain of custody forms and kits if provided.
If you already have an agreement with a provider for this service you will need to contact them directly and make the request. They will be allowed access to your employee in our system provided they have a UAB vendor ID badge and adhere to our policy guidelines.
