UAB Physician Services seeks to improve communication between the UAB Health System and referring physicians, while also providing support that will enhance the continuity of care. Physician Services assists physicians by expediting the referral process, communicating timely and pertinent information regarding a patent's visit to UAB, and providing up-to-date information regarding the vast programs and services available within the UAB Health System.
Through the Ambassador Program, referring physicians have compete access to their patients' UAB records, including admission and discharge summaries, clinical notes, activities, lab results, and other documents through a secure Web portal.
