UAB Professor and Medical Director of Prime Care Services and Clinics Nancy E. Dunlap, MD, PhD, announces the appointment of Rick Fennell, MD, as assistant professor.

Prior to graduating from Birmingham- Southern College, Dr. Fennell served as a U.S. Army Medical Corpsman, an emergency medical technician, a critical care registered nurse, and a cardiology assistant. He completed his MD degree at the School of Medicine at UAB and an internal medicine internship and residency at Carraway Methodist Medical Center.

Dr. Fennell's clinical interests are cardiology, diabetes, and hypertension.
